(Anarchist Theory and Action Skill Share Series) There are many theoretical lineages that anarchist and anti-authoritarian ideas come from. In this session we will explore the theories of individualist anarchists, anarcho-syndicalists, social anarchists and anarcho-primitivists. Though the majority of this workshop series will focus on social anarchism, this session will explore how different historical tendencies in anarchist thought have informed the anti-authoritarian and anti-capitalist movements that exist today. 7:00 to 8:30 at Stone Soup in the Free School room, 4 King St, Worcester. A suggested donation of $5 to $10 per workshop will go to support the Stone Soup Learning Co-op Free School. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

(Anarchist Theory and Action Skill Share Series) Members of the RNC Welcoming Committee from Minnesota will be in Worcester to discuss strategy and planning for the RNC demonstrations in September 2008. We will discuss with them what we have learned from past Mass Mobilizations and strategy going in the Republican National Convention in September. 7:00 to 8:30 at Stone Soup in the Free School room, 4 King St, Worcester. Dealing With Repression

(Anarchist Theory and Action Skill Share Series) n this Session we will explore the current climate of repression against anarchists, anti-capitalists, and environmentalists. We will look at repression used against groups in the past such as the Black Panthers and look at the Green Scare tactics. We will talk about how to combat these tactics of repression. We will also discuss building an effective Security Culture among activists and groups in Worcester and beyond. 7:00 to 8:30 at Stone Soup in the Free School room, 4 King St, Worcester. (Anarchist Theory and Action Skill Share Series) When we use directly democratic decision making and problem solving at meetings we are prefiguring an anarchist politic. During this session we will discuss the theory of Direct Democracy and the praxis that we use in our daily lives. We will also discuss our experiences with facilitation and consensus decision-making in hopes of building our collective decision making skills. 7:00 to 8:30 at Stone Soup in the Free School room, 4 King St, Worcester. (Anarchist Theory and Action Skill Share Series) In this unjust and oppressive world we constantly need to combat these tendencies with in ourselves and in the Movement. In this session we will discuss how we experience patriarchy, white supremacy, heterosexism, ableism, and classism in our activism and organizing. We will also discuss strategies to create anti-oppressive horizontal spaces. 7:00 to 8:30 at Stone Soup in the Free School room, 4 King St, Worcester. How do we excite and inspire people to become part of the work we are doing? How can we be good allies to other’s struggles? How can we tone our outreach skills?
