Mission

FPI is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization located in Worcester, Massachusetts. As specified in the mission statement, FPI's purpose is two fold. The first and foremost is to provide health education, immigration and social support services to newly arrived immigrants and refugee populations in Central Massachusetts with an emphasis on the African population. The second and equally important part of our purpose is to link sub-Sahara African nations with technical insights and resources needed to reduce poverty, diseases, illiteracy and harmful cultural practices dragging down the continent. Here in Central Mass, we are a multilingual information clearing house and referral service for the community we serve. We believe that the American fundamental principles of opportunity and progress were designed by immigrants. By your contributions, we can build a solid partnership capable of assisting the newly arrived immigrant population to keep America’s fundamental principles alive and productive.

Through our network of referral services and dissemination of health, immigration and social welfare information, the Fairbridge mission is simple and clear. Our mission is to serve as a bridge between mainstream service delivery systems and the newly arrived immigrant population, creating partnerships that will advance the frontier of social services to the underserved populations. Our project is connected to a wide range of community resources and established health centers. The Fairbridge Project Inc. is comprised of professionals from diversed background including health, education, and legal who have between them several years of experience in community outreach and social services. As concerned members of this community, the members of FPI have compiled information and referral service networks that facilitate easier transition of newly arrived immigrants into the mainstream American culture of education, entrepreneurship and charity, with less dependence on handout from others.
